Myler Monday – Level 3

At Riding Equipment, we host "Myler Monday" every Monday, where you can learn more about the Myler system!

Level 3 is the highest level in the Myler system! This level includes the MB33 and MB05 mouthpieces, which are suitable for horses that are advanced in their training. Like the mouthpieces at the other levels, the Level 3 mouthpieces are available with a variety of different bit rings – e.g., D-rings, Baucher cheeks, as a combination bit, or as a shank bit.

The horse at Level 3:

• The horse is advanced in its training or fully trained – it is cooperative and obedient.

• The horse is relaxed on the bit and understands the signals from the bit.

• The horse has mastered difficult exercises.

• The horse reacts well to and understands the aids from the seat, legs, and reins.

The Level 3 bit:

• The bit features an anatomically shaped mouthpiece with a slight curve that allows the horse to swallow.

• The bit has a high-ported mouthpiece for maximum tongue relief.

• The mouthpiece is equipped with a central roller/cylinder in the port that stabilizes the bit for maximum quietness in the horse's mouth.

• The ported bit allows the horse to swallow properly, while the pressure from the bit is distributed onto the bars of the mouth.
