The MB03 mouthpiece is similar to the MB02 mouthpiece. The MB03 is anatomically shaped - the slight arch allows the horse to swallow its saliva; the MB03 has no port, meaning it is tongue-free. The MB03 mouthpiece is fitted with copper on the cylinder in the center. The cylinder provides mobility, but creates calmness in the horse's mouth; copper has a sweet taste that horses have been shown to like, it provides better acceptance and suction on the bit.
The bit is suitable for the disciplines:
-
Western (not approved for show)
-
Hunter (not approved for show)
TheWestern Dee bit is a bit where the bit rings are fixed in the mouthpiece. This keeps the horse's mouth calm, the rings can't rotate and you don't risk the bit pinching the corners of the horse's mouth.
A bit with a hook allows you to fix the cheek piece of the snaffle and the rein in the bit. This can give the horse more stability and peace in the mouth, as the bit is kept in place in the horse's mouth at all times.
Horse at Level 1:
-
The horse is to be broken in or has just started breaking in.
-
The horse is about to or is learning the basics of gaits, transitions and obedience.
-
The horse has been ridden a bit, but is still learning basic signals.
-
The horse has a challenging temperament.
Independent Side Movement
Some of the Myler bits are equipped with so-called "Independent Side Movement". As the name suggests, this allows the rider to move each side of the bit independently of each other. This means that when the rider pulls on one rein, the horse gets a very clear signal as only one side moves. This provides effective shoulder control and bending of the horse.
