The Clarion pad is a pad with a traditional quilted design combined with Matrix inserts that provide good pressure distribution and shock absorption. The pad is ergionimically shaped and therefore lies well and stable under the saddle without causing pressure on the withers or lance mark.

This pad is an ultra-light, thin layer of XDR that provides ultimate protection by absorbing 90% of impacts. XRD is a soft material that molds to the shape of the horse's back and acts as a flexible shield against the impact forces the horse is subjected to.
Maintenance:
To give your Matrix underlay the best conditions to work optimally for your horse, make sure it hangs dry when not in use. Store the pad in a place where it can ventilate and dry if the horse has been sweating while riding. The pad can be brushed with a stiff brush to remove horse hair. Machine washable - but remember to remove the inserts! Follow the instructions on the washing label.
Matrix has developed the underlay and padding for the best shock absorption.
