The Clip is a safety carabiner for tethering horses. When you attach the rope correctly to The Clip, it will slide and give way, so the horse won't get hurt in case it gets spooked and pulls backwards. The Clip tie-up can thus save the horse from major neck injuries that it can incur by getting caught in the halter. The Clip carabiner is easy to click into a ring where you normally tie your horse.

If the ring is too small or you need to tie your horse in a place where there is no ring, you can use the Tether Ring, for example. With this set, you can easily take your secure horse tie-up with you on the go.

The Clip is designed to allow the rope to give way when the horse pulls hard backwards. The horse will still feel resistance and it will remain tied, but as the rope slides, the horse will not experience being restrained and will not panic further about being stuck. While avoiding damage to the horse's neck, you also avoid breaking the halter. The Clip can be tightened according to the horse you are standing with, so the rope slides easier or tighter, depending on how much resistance you want the horse to encounter.

Depending on the horse you are standing with, you need different levels of inertia with which the rope slides. What's unique to The Clip is that you can tighten and adjust to make the rope slide easier or tighter. The screw shouldn't be so tight that the rope can't slide, but it shouldn't be so loose that the horse doesn't feel any resistance at all.

The smart and safe tying system is an indispensable tool when teaching young horses to stand tied. Before the young horse understands the concept of being tied, it may pull backwards or try to walk. When the rope is tightened, it can frighten the horse - with The Clip you avoid this and your young horse will have a good experience of being tied from the start.

For safety reasons, the following must be observed:

Use a long rope - minimum 2.5 m
Use a flexible, smooth nylon or polypropylene rope and NOT the classic twisted pull rope. The rope must be able to slide freely in the carabiner, we recommend Blocker rope or similar - NOT cotton rope, as they are often woven too loosely
Do not tie knots on your rope! As the rope must be able to slide freely, you should never tie knots on the loose end of the rope, as knots will lock the rope in place and The Clip will not work as intended. You can tie a stopper knot all the way to the bottom so that the horse won't get loose if it pulls the rope all the way out, for example if you tie the horse to the trailer in a strange place.
