Military rider Maibritt Laustesen
Maibrit introduces herself:
The baptismal certificate says 1980, and over the past years it has become many good experiences. I am married to Kim and we have a daughter Juliane. We live on a country estate around Farsų and of course we have the horses at home.
My interest in horses started at the age of 3, when I started saving up for my own pony by rattling the money box when my parents had guests. At the age of 7, I managed to get my own pony, and since then I've had quite a few ponies and horses. I have always trained my own ponies and horses - I love working with and shaping my horses, full trust between horse and rider means everything to me.
I am passionate about the military sport! Over the years I have won medals at DM and team DM; gold at team DM as well as gold individually and for teams at NM in 2010. In 2020, I participated in the UVM for 6-year-old horses on Lillifee AJK - my new star horse. I am lucky enough to have a collaboration with Kollberger Sportshorses AJK. In 2021, no big sporting dreams will be achieved, as Juliane will have a little brother or sister in November, but I will return strongly next year, where the goal will be DM and NM on Lillifee. We have a 3-year-old Grim St. Clair x Chambertin, which will definitely be an interesting horse for the future. In addition, I have said yes to another one from Kollberger Sportshorses after Contendro from 2020. So I am well prepared for the future!
It is impossible to achieve your dreams and goals without good support. I'm lucky enough to have a partnership with Riding Equitment - they have almost everything you need. Among other things, I am incredibly happy with all the Absorbine products. As a rider, I've had some nasty crashes, so I never jump without my Helite airbag vest. I'm a big fan of their Zip In models, so I can switch between a vest, jacket or competition jacket - and always be safe! In addition, I have to mention Matrix T3 Pads, which I never ride without - Matrix pads are pressure-distributing and shock-absorbing, and it makes a big difference on my own back to ride with that pad!
