Approved bits for the dressage competition

If you are going to start a dressage competition, you must be aware of whether you are allowed to ride with the bit that you train with on a daily basis.

It is allowed to ride with Myler bits at dressage competitions, as the dressage regulations allow you to ride with bits with a roll/cylinder in the middle and a mouthpiece with a port. However, it is not allowed to ride with side pieces with hooks or mouthpieces with a port higher than 30 mm.

The following Myler mouthpieces are approved for the dressage competition:
MB01 - MB02 - MB09 - MB04 - MB32 - MB32-3 - MB06 - MB36 - MB05 - MB33WL

The following side pieces are approved for the dressage competition.

• D-rings without hooks
• Eggbutt without hooks
• Baucher
• Loose rings
