In show jumping, there are classes for riders of all levels. The different classes vary in both technical difficulty and height of the jumps, so everyone can have a successful show jumping competition for the first time. In show jumping, it's all about getting the fewest faults - you get faults if you tear down a barrier, if the horse stops in front of the jump or if you ride incorrectly on the course. In addition, time jumping is all about getting around the course the fastest. You can also compete in style jumping, where the team is judged on positioning, balance, rhythm efficiency and completeness around the course.  

Both show jumping and cross-country jumping are undeniably risky sports with high speeds and sharp turns. There are therefore requirements for safety equipment when jumping. DRF requires riders to wear a riding helmet for both jumping and dressage competitions, and riders under 18 years of age are also required to wear a safety vest for competitions.years to also wear a safety vest at competitions, and all riders are required to wear a helmet and safety vest in the cross-country eventing discipline. 

In the eventing discipline, the equipe must compete in dressage, show jumping and cross-country jumping. Military events are typically held over several days, so the horse does not have to do three disciplines in one day. Cross-country jumping is a discipline for the toughest horses and riders - it takes courage and ice in the stomach to ride at high speed against the fixed obstacles on a cross-country course. To go military, the horse needs to be in great shape to gallop up and down hills; jump through water and time a cross-country course.
