Clothing

Riding clothes with style and comfort - and for cold rides!

The rider's clothing is an important item for both picnics and competitions. There are requirements for comfort, thermoregulation and a certain level of style and elegance. In order to work optimally with the horse, the clothing must fit well and follow the rider's movements without creasing and chafing. At the same time, it needs to be breathable and wick sweat away from the body during hard training and on hot days.

You probably know your personal preferences best, for example when it comes to breeches - should they be narrow-legged or jodhpurs breeches; full leather or knee leather? There is a wealth of options when it comes to riding clothes for both children and adults; picnic and competition riders. If you're the type of rider who wears riding gloves, this is also a point where a lot of comfort can be added to the ride. Heritage Gloves are some of the heavyweights when it comes to riding gloves - with this brand you'll find leather gloves, fleece gloves, winter riding gloves and airy summer riding gloves.

Being a tour rider requires the right clothing. Especially in winter, it can be difficult to ride in the rain and wind. It is highly recommended that you get a pair of Thermasoft breeches. They are wind and water resistant and have a lining of soft and insulating fleece, which makes them super comfortable and wonderfully warm. Thermasoft are available both with narrow legs and as jodhpurs breeches with boot cut, which many Icelandic riders prefer. At Riding Equipment we care about comfort, quality and design, and we choose brands accordingly. When it comes to breeches, for example, Irideon Riding Wear is a great choice. All models from Irideon are designed in close collaboration with the rider in the saddle, resulting in a perfect fit that is developed precisely for the purpose for which it is to be used.

Gloves are also an important factor in the Danish fall and winter months. When it comes to warm, windproof and waterproof gloves, Heritage Gloves delivers. With a pair of Polarstretch you can keep warm and they are wonderfully soft - if you need more protection from the cold, Extreme Winter or Arctic Winter are a good choice. These two models also have space for a thermal insert for those really cold days. For work in the stable, you also need a pair of sturdy winter gloves when the water bowls freeze - here we recommend the Winter Work gloves, which are waterproof and have a small pocket for a thermal insert on the back of the hand.
