Cool Back is a 100% orthopaedic polyester fleece material. The material combines great breathability with a flexible underside, providing good protection for the horse's back - even after hours of training and work. Underlay with Cool Back is designed to efficiently dissipate heat and is also highly wicking. Cool Back is also easy to maintain as it can be washed in the washing machine and tumble dried.

Ortho Impact
This pad is a combination of several materials that gives you and your horse both protection and comfort during training. The Ortho pad consists of a 13 mm thick layer of visco-elastic foam, which can be compared to the well-known memory foam. This layer molds to the shape of the horse's back and corrects any asymmetry in the horse. Along with this layer is a very thin layer of Poron XRD, which has been developed to provide your horse with 90% shock absorption, thus helping to protect your horse during daily work. The Ortho insert offers maximum padding and cushioning without hindering the horse's movements.

When the Matrix material gets cold, it can become hard, so we recommend storing the Matrix underlay and pad at a minimum of 15⁰ C. The material is not damaged by low temperatures, so if it is not possible to store the products in a heated place, this is not a problem.

Maintenance:
To give your Matrix underlay the best conditions to work optimally for the horse, you should make sure that it hangs dry when not in use. Store the pad in a place where it can ventilate and dry if the horse has been sweating while riding. The pad can be brushed with a stiff brush to remove horse hair. Machine washable - but remember to remove the inserts! Follow the instructions on the washing label.

Matrix has developed the underlay and padding for the best shock absorption. During riding, both horse and rider are exposed to many shocks that propagate through the back - it is extremely stressful. It is to minimize the degree of impact that Matrix has developed (and continues to develop) their underlay and underlay inserts. By minimizing the degree of impact, both the horse's and rider's back can be spared enormously. Riders who suffer from a bad back can benefit greatly from a Matrix pad, as can horses who are prone to back pain.
