The Ortho-Impact Protection insert consists of 13 mm thick viscoelastic foam and is comparable to the well-known memory foam. Therefore, it also effectively shapes itself to the horse's back and corrects any asymmetry. Along with the memory foam-like layer is a very thin layer of Poron XRD. This is a material developed to give your horse 90% shock absorption. This is very gentle on the horse during daily work and can also help the rider with a bad back. Both horse and rider are exposed to many shocks during a ride; with the Ortho insert, these shocks will be effectively absorbed instead of propagating in the back of the horse and rider. Ortho means maximum padding and cushioning without restricting the horse's freedom of movement.

The Pro-Impact insert consists of a thin layer of Poron XRD, making it an ultra lightweight underlay. Poron XRD is a material that has been developed to absorb 90% of the shocks that horse and rider are exposed to during riding - the material gives the horse the freedom to work, but has the technology to protect.

When Matrix material gets cold, it can be hard, so we recommend storing Matrix underlay and grooming at a minimum of 15⁰ C. The material is not damaged by low temperatures, so if it is not possible to store the products in a heated place, this is not a problem.
