Helle Vestergaard Knudsen - Mountain Trail

Horse Park Denmark - "Safe and brave horses and riders in all terrain... One exercise at a time"

Helle introduces herself:
My name is Helle Knudsen, I own the company Den Hele Ekvipage, which runs 2 riding schools and the Mountain Trail Park Djurs Horse Park under the brand Horse Park Denmark.

I am a trained farmer and am an animal person from the inside out. Today, I have put cows and pigs on the shelf in favor of the horses and all the work that focuses on good horse training and the development that comes with it for the owners on a human level.

In our two riding schools, the student horses are our gold. Under the motto that all horses are horses and have the same basic needs, we take very good care of the horses and hope they want to work for us for many years to come - in short, they are our employees and we are their workplace - it is our responsibility to provide the service that allows them to withstand the work.

As part of this, and as an offshoot of this, we have started the Mountain Trail sport in Denmark. A sport that contributes to the horse's biomechanics through balance and proprioceptor training, and stimulates the horses' mental well-being by stimulating all their senses and making the training exciting and motivating. Mountain Trail is strength training for the horses, and it increases the bond between owner and human to be able to navigate various difficult obstacles in a safe and secure way.

For both our horses and our sport, it is important to have good quality products - we find this at Riding Equipment, and it is extra good for us that we can find both the more traditional equipment such as halters, bridles, reins, reins, underlay etc. for our student horses and at the same time the more specialized equipment such as rope halters, long quality ropes, gaiters, competition products etc. for the Mountain Trail sport. In particular, we really enjoy the delicious cooling gaiters 2XCool, which allow us to train Mountain Trail in hot weather and have our horses' legs protected without compromising on the heating of the horses' legs. I'm personally also a huge fan of the new and eco-friendly ECOLUXE bamboo rope from Weaver.
