Matrix pads are designed with advanced technology to provide your horse with both freedom of movement and the protection it needs to perform at its best.
Unlike dressage saddles, western saddles do not have built-in padding. Therefore, when riding with a western saddle, proper cushioning must come from a high-quality western pad, as it absorbs pressure and impact from both the saddle and rider. Matrix pads are developed using the latest research and technology and feature an ergonomic design that offers optimal protection against unnecessary wear.

Black Felt is made from 100% polyester. This material is compression-resistant and adapts to the horse’s back for an optimal fit. It provides essential structure for round horses with low withers while ensuring a stable surface under the saddle, making it ideal for performance sports.

Care Instructions:
The Black Felt underside can be brushed with a stiff brush to remove hair and wiped down with a damp cloth. The pad can be hosed down and line dried. To extend its lifespan, always hang your pad to ventilate when not in use, allowing the material to dry properly if the horse has sweated.

When Matrix material gets cold, it may feel stiff. We recommend storing Matrix pads and cinches/girths at a minimum temperature of 15°C (59°F). However, the material is not damaged by low temperatures, so if storing them in a heated space is not possible, it will not be an issue.
