The Wool Back lining gives the mat a very elastic underside that will continue to function even after long periods of use. Wool Back is made of natural fleece and can absorb up to 80% of its own weight in moisture - at the same time, the material has excellent breathability and dissipates heat efficiently.

The Ortho-Impact Protection insole consists of 13 mm thick visco-elastic foam and is comparable to the well-known memory foam. Therefore, it also effectively shapes itself to the horse's back and corrects any asymmetry. Along with the memory foam-like layer is a very thin layer of Poron XRD. This is a material that has been developed to give your horse 90% shock absorption. This is very gentle on the horse during daily work and can also help the rider with a bad back. Both horse and rider are exposed to many shocks during a ride; with the Ortho insert, these shocks will be effectively absorbed instead of propagating in the back of the horse and rider. Ortho means maximum cushioning and cushioning without restricting the horse's freedom of movement.

When Matrix material gets cold, it can become hard, so we recommend storing Matrix underlay and grooming at a minimum of 15⁰ C. The material is not damaged by low temperatures, so if it is not possible to store the products in a heated place, this is not a problem.
