MB33 Combination 3-ring // MB33 3-ring combination bite

Independent Side Movement

TheMB33 mouthpiece is Myler the high port mouthpiece, and thus a bite with the MB33 is the bite with the most tongue freedom. In addition to having a port, the mouthpiece is anatomically shaped to the horse's mouth. The mouthpiece has a cylinder in the middle of the gate, which provides Independent Side Movement.

This bit is suitable for the disciplines:
  • Jumping
  • Distance
The combination bit has several features that have made it a popular bit on the market. The bit is not just a traditional mouthpiece and bit rings, but is equipped with several features that refine the communication with the horse.
The combination bit has a noseband and chin/jaw strap that applies pressure that the horse knows from the halter. When you make contact on the rein, these pressure points are the first to be affected - on the bridge of the nose, under the chin and in the neck. If the horse doesn't yield to this pressure, the mouthpiece on the bit will give a signal in the horse's mouth. The bit ring is equipped with a stop block, so initially the horse's mouth will only be minimally affected - if the horse does not relinquish the pressure here, the block will activate the mouthpiece and give a greater signal in the horse's mouth.
The combination bit is available with different mouthpieces and different degrees of tongue freedom. In addition, the Myler combination bit is available with either two or three rings.

The horse at Level 3:
  • The horse is far along in its training or fully trained - it is cooperative and obedient.
  • The horse is relaxed on the bit and understands signals from the bit.
  • The horse masters difficult exercises.
  • The horse reacts well and understands the signals from the seat, legs and rein.

Independent Side Movement

Some of the Myler bits are equipped with so-called "Independent Side Movement". As the name suggests, this allows the rider to move each side of the bit independently of each other. This means that when the rider pulls on one rein, the horse gets a very clear signal as only one side moves. This provides effective shoulder control and bending of the horse.
