MB02 Small Baucher / MB02 with small suspension

Independent Side Movement

TheMB02 mouthpiece is anatomically shaped - the slight arch allows the horse to swallow. The MB02 has no gate, which means that the bit is tongue-less. The mouthpiece has a cylinder in the middle that prevents the bit from "collapsing" in the horse's mouth. Since the mouthpiece is tongue-free, the bit puts pressure on both the tongue and the loader, Myler however, the bit distributes the pressure more evenly over the tongue than the traditional two- or three-piece snaffle bit.

This bit is well suited for the following disciplines:

  • Dressage (FEI approved)
  • Show jumping
  • Icelandic
  • Endurance
  • Tour riding
  • Hunter bit

TheBaucher bit is a suspension bit. This means that the cheek pieces of the bridle and reins are not attached to the same ring. The Baucher bit therefore sits more calmly in the horse's mouth. Many people mistakenly believe that a Baucher snaffle bit with suspension gives a signal in the horse's neck - this is not correct. The suspension only means that the bit is calm and stable in the horse's mouth, they do not put pressure on the horse's neck, as there is no exchange or bar effect on a Baucher bit. This model has slightly smaller bit rings to suit the smaller pony.

Level 1 horse:

  • The horse is to be broken in or has just started breaking in.
  • The horse is about to or is learning the basics of gaits, transitions and obedience.
  • The horse has been ridden a bit, but is still learning basic signals.
  • The horse has a challenging temperament.

Independent Side Movement

Some of the Myler bits are equipped with so-called "Independent Side Movement". As the name suggests, this allows the rider to move each side of the bit independently of each other. This means that when the rider pulls on one rein, the horse gets a very clear signal as only one side moves. This provides effective shoulder control and bending of the horse.
