Independent Side Movement

The MB11 mouthpiece is a French Link mouthpiece with a copper roller. Copper has a sweet taste that many horses like. Myler's snaffle bit is slightly curved and therefore ergonomically shaped to the horse's mouth. This increases comfort as it gives the horse more freedom in the mouth. However, it does not provide the same peace of mind as a Myler mouthpiece with a cylinder does, as the two-piece bit can still "break" in the horse's mouth and risk pinching the tongue.

TheWestern Dee bit is a bit where the bit rings are fixed in the mouthpiece. The fact that the rings cannot rotate in the horse's mouth means that the bit will not pinch the corners of the horse's mouth.

Thehorse at Level 1:

The horse is to be broken in or has just started breaking in.
The horse is about to or is learning the basics of gaits, transitions and obedience.
The horse has been ridden a bit, but is still learning basic signals.
The horse has a challenging temperament.

Independent Side Movement

Some of the Myler bits are equipped with so-called "Independent Side Movement". As the name suggests, this allows the rider to move each side of the bit independently of each other. This means that when the rider pulls on one rein, the horse gets a very clear signal as only one side moves. This provides effective shoulder control and bending of the horse.
